Prompt Response  One time during middle school my friend was talking to me about his crush. He told me how they were hitting it off in class and how he thinks that she likes him too. I asked him why he hadn't asked her out yet and he said he was nervous and scared she would say no. I told him, "She clearly likes your dude. Just go for it, trust." He listened to me and when he asked her out in the hallways she rejected him because she looked at him more like a brother xDDDDDDD. My friend had asked me to go with him so I was there to witness it all. I was CRYING of laughter I could not contain myself. My friend was so mad at me but seeing me laughing so hard brought him to laughter as well. Our relationship was still cool if anything it got better. I learned absolutely nothing but to keep encouraging my friends to do dumb things as long as I'm there to witness it.  Summary I told my friend to ask his crush out and it went completely wrong.  Reflection That girl did hi...

Prompt Response During middle school I was doing a project with a group of friends and my friends had a small dispute over who should do the drawing. Friend 1 was acting like the leader of the group and was deciding everyone's role in the project, giving himself the easiest part, the drawing part. Friend 2 didn't like the idea of friend 1 bossing everyone around and insisted that we all do the research and writing part and then all work on the drawing part together. Friend 2 though the idea was dumb and that sparked conflict between the two and they started arguing. We ended up getting split up and put into other groups. Some advice I would give Harpo and Sofia is to give 100% for each other and to find a way to satisfy each others desires. Do it for not only yourselves but for your kids. Summary During a group project one of my friends was trying to take control of the group and assigning himself the easiest part of the project. That lead to conflict in the group and we ended...

Prompt Response My favorite word right now is "method". It is my favorite word because you can kind of use it for every situation so I end up using it a lot. For example if someone is skating and they fail the trick and fall, I usually say "that is not the method xD". Or when someone figures out a better way to do something, Ill say "that's for sure the method". Dennis is at fault for my usage of the word. Summary My favorite word is "method" because its funny to use when people fail or succeed at something. Reflection My friends influence a lot of my vocabulary. Mostly in a good way but sometimes in a bad way.

Prompt Response Back in the days men marrying underage girls was far too common. Nowadays being an 18 year old dating a 17 year old is seen as disgusting and they are deemed a pedophile. The "cancel culture" has risen to such levels that things that were common back then are absolutely not allowed today and participating in such activities will result in the entire world shaming you. Summary  Dating underage girls was common back then but today it is a BIG NO NO.  Reflection Its crazy it took us this long to realize that dating underage girls was NOT okay.

Prompt Response One day in middle school I noticed that the nerdy kid in my class was being bullied in the hallways by some kids. I went to my teacher and informed her of the situation. This connects to the poems because it shows situations of unfairness. Summary I once saw a classmate getting bullied and reported it to an adult. Reflection I'm glad I decided to do something about it despite that kid not liking me very much.

Prompt Response Someone in my life who inspires me to be a better version of myself is my mom. My mom had me at a really young age and sacrificed so much for me and my brother. My mom's strongest quality is that shes a HARD WORKER. At a really young age she has dealt with multiple jobs whilst also finding a way to take care of us. Despite not being around much because of work, the time we spent together was extremely valuable to us. She always made time for us and always took us to places and bought us things that she thought we deserved. She sacrificed her life interests so that me and my brother could have everything we ever wanted. She could have bought herself nice things or go out with her friends but instead she prioritized us every single time.  Summary My mom is the person I look up to the most. Reflection My mom is so cool.

Prompt Response After reading the five letters in class my emotions are sympathetic. I feel really bad that someone had to go through such trauma at such a young age. I'm also feeling disgust for the terrible people who do things like that and get away with it. I can never understand how people are able to do cruel things to hurt someone, especially your own daughter.  Summary I'm feeling emotions of Sympathy, Disgust, and Flabbergasted. Reflection I hope these kind of things can just end and never happen again to anyone. No one deserves to go through such trauma.
